Many of you have probably heard about the new version of Stalaggh's :Projekt Misanthropia: album entitled :Pure Misanthropia: which is the original recording of the album completely unedited and limited to 300 copies. Taken from the inlay:

This is exactly how it sounded while Stalaggh performed their Audio-Terrror...Of this recording only a tape survived, which was digitally mastered for this limited release. We managed to rush the pressing plant on these in order to have Thou's new full length ready in time for their US tour. Anyone attending a Thou show from June 20th on will be able to purchase a copy of "Peasant" directly from the band so don't miss out!

has actually created some amateur hour anti - AKR logo and even threatens to print it on his releases. You can view it near the bottom of their page. Yes, yes EE, fuck us..


I'll keep this short as it really is of little significance but a record label like Autopsy Kitchen grows by word of mouth, quality releases, hard work and most importantly honest and fair business practices. I'll be damned if some immature shit talking teenager hiding behind the distance between our countries will hurt our reputation.
Back in 2005 a 30x CD trade (yes, all this over 30x CDs) was set up. We both sent our respective packages. The EE pack was delivered with no problems but our parcel was returned. I personally e-mailed EE and told them it was returned and asked them to split post and I'd send again. He asked me to simply remove a few CDs to cover the cost and re-send. Which I did. So, a second parcel of 25x CDs was sent (so technically the label is owed 25x CDs and not 30x as they say). That pack according to them never arrived nor was it returned here. He wrote numerous times to send the CDs again which I continually told him that I had, even going so far as to scan the original receipt and send it to him (the 2nd receipt was nowhere to be found as AKR record keeping was not as top notch in 2005 as it is today). Finally, when the guy started threatening to bootleg the CD (now owned by Candlelight) I ignored him and of course wrote Candlelight so they could deal with it which I assume they did because this kid just doesn't quit.


Therein lies the real problem and reason for posting this. I have absolutely no problem with any record label posting news of bad experiences on their websites, and normally when this does happen the owner of said website is clear headed and posts all info avoiding ignorant cliches such as "Fuck this label, fuck this band, etc". This level of immaturity automatically exposes malicious tactics borne of jealousy and spite for spite's sake.
The most disheartening of all is that said label would even think to include such malicious, slanderous and childish personal vendettas as part of the art created by the artists they release. I can only imagine that bands such as Wedard and Branikald would want nothing to do with such dim-witted and obtuse "scene ranting" as part of their layouts on their records. It has nothing to do with these bands nor does it have anything to do with the music contained within. Most of all, it isn't true. The owner of said label is an inexperienced child who feels so "strongly" about his label, bands and reputation yet can't find the extra couple hundred bucks a year to pay for a real domain so people can actually find the site and order his releases. In fact, this post on the AKR blog will probably procure his site the most hits he has ever had. That being said, this post obviously isn't intended to deter that label from their path of attempting to destroy our reputation (which they never would be able to do) but will be sent to the bands with pending releases on said label to make them aware of such immature Johnny black metal 14 year old horseshit they are likely unwittingly partaking in. If said bands don't care then let the boycott that no one cares about begin! Cheers to that EE, I'm sure I just helped you sell a few records...put it in your piggy bank so perhaps you can afford a real web domain some day. Til then, Jeffrey

Every now and again the rare occasion arises that you come across a record clearly created by fanatics that simply can't help but stand apart from the crowd. Fanatics that have deep roots in nothing else but bashing out the most grim yet beautiful sounding doom.. doom isn't the genre here, doom is the atmosphere.


Eyes peer beyond shadows and blood flows beneath footprints. The world is not as vast as the mind. Reality suffers the consequence and we are it's slaves.


"Peasant" is Thou's 2nd full length after their debut LP "Tyrant" and both LPs were summoned in their hometown of Baton Rouge, LA which many here in the states consider the home state of that true soulful doom vibe somewhat akin to Motown via Detroit.
Unlike many bands of the ilk, Thou doesn't just simply plow over you with riff after unbearably crushing riff over the duration of the album but choose to riff over your soul track by track with more venom per ounce than is likely healthy by any standard. Needless pain and suffering are all around you, Thou are not the answer... they are the alternative. No true pleasure can ever be experienced without a healthy dose of pain.
