You knew it would eventually happen and to our surprise it's not everything you would expect from a black metal concept album based on the classic Halloween movie from 1978. Of course the disc "blasts off" with a guitar led version of the immortal theme song and also of course, from there the black metal appears. It is the almost Goblin-esque interludes as in "The Meyers House" that make this album one you'll want to come back to. Not that much of the genre specific metallized fare is pure fluff as the sometimes dissonant and tinny Tjolgtjar signature is definitely on this disc. If you're buying this disc simply based on the conceptual gimmick then you are very likely going to be a satisfied customer and also highly likely to find yourself kicking back on the sofa once again to enjoy another trip to Michael Meyers hometown.
